About the course
ALPS is aimed at bar and counter staff working in licensed premises. The course provides an understanding of the responsibility to sell alcohol lawfully and responsibly. It explains the basics of licensing law which licences are required to sell alcohol; which activities are licensable and what the licensing objectives are. The course focuses on the importance of responsible retailing and not selling alcohol to underage customers or to people who are drunk.
