About the course
This learning activity will introduce your team members to the Display Screen Equipment (DSE) guidance as part of the Health and Safety Regulations 1992 and consider how it impacts them.
Many employees are now using their homes as a workspace, this activity will help team members understand the workplace environment they need to create and how to work safely with computers and screens.
The DSE regulations apply to anyone whose work involves regular use of display screen equipment and government guidance is that employers must provide health and safety training and information for DSE users.
You will be able to:
- Explain the definition of DSE and who can be identified as a DSE user
- Identify health risks from improper DSE use
- Be able to conduct a self-DSE risk assessment using the DSE checklist provided
Upon completion of the course, learners will complete an end of learning assessment.
