The aim of this course is to provide essential theoretical awareness of tracheostomies and the care patients with a tracheostomy would require. At the end of the course, students will have learned best practice standards and how to organise and execute delivery of care to people with a tracheostomy, including in the areas of Communication, Nutrition, Tube Management and Oral care.
